Lewis and Lorri Wootan have been involved in ministry in various capacities since the mid ‘80’s. They have been traveling as full-time evangelists since the early 90’s. They were married in 1992 in Anchorage, Alaska and have made Oregon their home since 1997 where they are members of Cornerstone Open Bible Church. Their ministry began in Alaska and has now extended throughout the continental United States and into other countries. Their heart is to see The Church revived, the lost brought to Christ and hope given back to the hopeless. God uses them in the preaching and teaching of The Word, prophetically, healing, words of knowledge and signs and wonders.
Lew was born in Arizona. He played football and as a ‘jock’, lived up to the lifestyle. After being healed at the age of 14, he gave his life to Christ; though he soon backslid. By the time he was 19 years old he was at the end of everything and ended up on a park bench in Helena, Montana ready to commit suicide. It was at that moment that God spoke to him in an audible voice and told him, "I still love you, come back to me." From that time on, Lew dedicated his life to God and hasn’t looked back since. Soon after his conversion, he moved to Alaska and attended Bible School; it was there that he met Lorri. His ministry began on the streets of Anchorage and then continued on to where he was an associate youth pastor in Phoenix, Arizona for 1½ years. After moving back to Alaska, he worked as the youth pastor of the church he attended in addition to working with the young adults and homeless. In 1992, God called him as an evangelist and he has followed the calling since that time.
Lorri was born in New Mexico, but since the time she was 3 months old, was raised in Alaska and lived there until she was 28 years old. She grew up in a Christian family and gave her life to Christ as a young child. Because of the sacrifice her parents made to give her the opportunity to go to a Christian school and Christian summer camps, the spiritual foundation was laid which would later affect her future. Following in the foot steps of one of her maternal grandmother’s ancestors who was a ‘Circuit Rider’ and her maternal grandfather and great uncle who were each pastors in different denominations, Lorri began in ministry before she was even out of High School. In addition to ministering along side Lew, she also ministers on her own at women’s conferences and various speaking engagements.
